On 5 November 2025, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Quang Tri Province held a conference to announce Decision No. 75/QĐ-SNgV issued by the Department Director regarding the appointment of Ms. Nguyen Thi Duc Hanh, Deputy Director in charge of the Foreign Affairs Service Centre, to the position of Head of the International Cooperation Division.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Lan - Provincial Party Committee Member and Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs - presents the decision and offers flowers of congratulation.

Attending the conference were members of the Department’s Directorate, the Department’s Party Committee, and all civil servants and public employees.

At the announcement ceremony, Mr. Tran Ngoc Lan - Provincial Party Committee Member and Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs - presented the Decision and delivered a speech assigning tasks to Ms. Nguyen Thi Duc Hanh. In his remarks, Mr. Lan acknowledged her work experience, capabilities, and sense of responsibility, while expressing confidence and high expectations that she would promote a central role in fostering unity, striving alongside the division’s leadership and staff to excellently fulfil all assigned duties.

The Director emphasised that the key tasks in the coming period include translating the province’s major policies on international integration into practice, particularly Resolution No. 59-NQ/TU, Action Programme No. 04-CTr/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Board, and Action Plan No. 1346/KH-UBND of the Provincial People’s Committee, with the aim of realising the objective of positioning Quang Tri as a highlight of international integration in the North Central region.

As a province rich in potential for international cooperation, Quang Tri boasts three international border gates, two deep-water seaports, over 400 km of border with the friendly nation of Laos, the Phong Nha-Ke Bàng World Natural Heritage Site, numerous revolutionary historical relics, and distinctive cultural values, playing a vital role in the East-West Economic Corridor. Building on this foundation, the Department’s international cooperation efforts must continue to innovate and demonstrate creativity, contributing to the advancement of diplomacy in service of the province’s socio-economic development.

In particular, the Director assigned the International Cooperation Division to focus on implementing two key projects of the provincial foreign affairs sector:

• The project “World Documentary Heritage: The 17th Parallel - Memories of War and Aspirations for Peace”;

• The project on the Strategy for Developing Quang Tri Province’s Foreign Economic Relations, under Action Programme No. 01-CTr/TU of the Provincial Party Committee implementing the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
