Spreading the “Green Sunday” spirit - Small actions, big impact

On the morning of March 22, 2026, in response to Official Dispatch No. 89-CV/TĐTN from the Provincial Youth Union under the People’s Committee, and as part of the first nationwide “Green Sunday” campaign of 2026, the Department’s Youth Union organized an environmental clean-up at the Dong Hoi Prison Historical Site.

At the site, youth members actively collected litter, swept pathways, and spruced up the grounds, helping maintain a clean, respectful, and well-kept setting. Beyond environmental protection, the activity also offered a meaningful chance for young people to pay tribute to previous generations while nurturing patriotism and national pride.

These simple yet impactful actions helped spread the message of building a green, clean, and beautiful environment, while reinforcing the proactive, volunteer spirit of youth in the community.

Thematic session - Inspiring a sense of responsibility and the drive to contribute

Continuing the series of activities, on March 25, 2026, at the Department of Foreign Affairs’ meeting room, the Youth Union held its regular March session under the theme “Taking the lead on the diplomatic front.” The session was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Youth Union, with full participation from all youth members of the department.

The program began with a reflection on the 95-year journey of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, helping participants deepen their understanding of the role and responsibilities of today’s younger generation.

In a lively and engaging discussion, many practical ideas and initiatives were put forward to enhance professional effectiveness, focusing on areas such as applying digital transformation in external information work; improving international communication and diplomatic protocol skills; and promoting the role of youth in connecting with and supporting NGOs and foreign investors in the locality.

In his remarks, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized that each youth member should continuously strengthen their political awareness, improve foreign language proficiency, and enhance professional expertise to become an effective bridge between Quang Tri Province and its international partners

Unity - Creativity - Determination in Action

Concluding the program, the Youth Union adopted its action plan for the second quarter of 2026, reaffirming its commitment to successfully fulfilling assigned political tasks and contributing to building the image of foreign affairs officers as “Professional - Dedicated - Innovative.”

The series of Youth Month 2026 activities not only strengthened solidarity among youth members of the Department of Foreign Affairs but also fostered pride, a sense of responsibility, and a strong aspiration to contribute to the province’s external relations development.
