Quang Binh, Khammouane, Nakhon Phanom and Sakon Nakhon are 4 out of the Association of 9 provinces 3 countries: Vietnam, Laos, Thailand using Road 8 and Road 12. The transport route in the form of contract connecting 4 provinces of Quang Binh, Khammouane, Nakhon Phanom and Sakon Nakhon is opened based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed on July 4, 2014 in Thakkhec town, Khammouane province to facilitate tourists from the 4 provinces of the 3 countries to travel back and forth, hence, enhancing cooperation and exchange in all fields, especially in tourism, among the 4 provinces in particular and 3 countries of Vietnam, Laos, Thailand in general.

The Launching Ceremony was participated by Mr. Tran Tien Dung - the PPC’s Vice Chairman, representative leaders from relevant departments and transport and tourism enterprises of Quang Binh province; Mr. Bun Xong Te Xa Ma Ni Sa Thit, Gorvernor of Sakon Nakhon province and delegates from Authority Committee and enterprises of Sakon Nakhon province; Ms. Som Phon Phi Nip Ka Ra Na - Deputy Director of Department of Transports of Nakhon Phanom province; Mr. Da Da Vong Mieng Ma Ni - Deputy Director of Department of Transport and Public Works and leaders from relevant agencies and enterprises of Khamouane province.

Addressing the Ceremony, Vice Chairman Tran Tien Dung highly appreciated the significance of the opening of the transport route, and, proposed that the provincial leaders and departments, enterprises concerned of the 4 provinces continue to work closely to put the transport route into operation.
