The Program sought to enhance the cooperation among provinces of the 3 countries of Thailand, Laos, Vietnam in Mekong River Subregion, aiming towards integrating into the ASEAN Economic Community by the end of 2015 and was participated by 11 provinces of the 3 countries of Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, namely: Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Mukdahan (Thailand), Bolikhamsai, Khamouane, Savannakhet (Laos), Quang Binh, Hà Tinh, Ngha An (Vietnam).

The Program included 3 main activities: (1) International Conference on Cooperation Promotion in investment, trade, tourism and agriculture; (2) Exhibition of traditional goods and products of the provinces; (3) Traditional cultural exchange among localities.

International Conference on Cooperation Promotion among provinces

At the Conference, the provinces of the 3 countries made introduction and discussion about local potentials, strengths and cooperation opportunities with others in many fields. Quang Binh Delegation, in particular, gave a speech introducing and promoting Quang Binh tourism and its potentials and opportunities for cooperation in trade and investment with regional provinces. The Delegation also arranged an exhibition booth to promote Quang Binh tourism and introduce local traditional products such as fish source, shrimp source (ruốc), dried sweet potato (khoai deo), bamboo and rattan handicrafts, conical hats, dried fish, etc.

At the cultural exchange among provinces held on February 10, 2015, artists from Quang Binh Provincial Traditional Art Troupe presented 2 unique and beautiful performances which were warmly welcomed by the residents and participating delegates, making significant contribution to the success of the program.
