Standing Committee of Provincial People’s Council couteously receives delegation from Legislative Council of Western Australia

On 20 April 2016 morning, Mr. Hoang Dang Quang - Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, Head of Provincial National Assembly Delegation of Quang Binh province chaired the courtesy call paid by the delegation from Legislative Council of Western Australia (WA) led by Mr. Barry John House - President. The reception was also attended by the Provincial People’s Committee’s Vice Chairman Tran Tien Dzung and representatives from relevant departments, agencies and localities.

 

At the reception, Mr. Hoang Dang Quang briefed on Quang Binh’s natural condition, socio-economic development, structure and operation of People’s Council in recent years and provided information about the implementation of cooperative activities between Quang Binh and Western Australia, namely: the signing of “Sister Caves Agreement” between Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park Management Board and Augusta Margaret River Tourism Development; the discussion for the signing of a cooperative agreement between Dong Hoi City and Bunbury City, the discussion for partnership establishment between the Planning and Investment Department of Quang Binh and the South West Development Commission of WA.

 

 

Mr. Hoang Dang Quang expressed his hope that President Barry John House of WA Legislative Council would help to promote the comprehensive cooperation between Quang Binh and Western Australia in multiple fields of economics, education, tourism – services, etc. among which tourism – services should be focused, as Quang Binh owns great potential and advantages for development in this field that has been determined as a key sector for development of the province.

The President of WA Legislative Council thanked for the esteem welcome from Quang Binh leaders and highly appreciated the establishment of the comprehensive cooperative relationship between Quang Binh and Western Australia. He also affirmed that Australian authority will boost the multi-sided relationship with Quang Binh and informed that some cave experts from WA will be sent to Quang Binh to research and share experiences in cave management and exploitation.

 

On the same day, the Delegation paid a visit to Phong Nha and Paradise Caves, two main tourist destinations at Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.
