Korea International Cooperation Agency comes to visit and work in Quang Binh
From December 21 to December 22, 2014, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam delegation led by Mr. Chang Jea Yun, Chief Representative of the KOICA came to visit and work in Quang Binh to prepare for the implementation of UXO remediation after war project in the province funded by Korean Government. Representatives from Standing Agency of State Steering Committee of National Action Program on UXO remediation after war (Steering Committee 504) accompanied the Delegation.

At the meeting with the Delegation on the morning of December 22, 2014, Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives from relevant agencies and departments held discussion with the Delegation about the actual mine contamination in Quang Binh, effort that Government and local authorities made for UXO remediation, and proposed project on UXO remediation in Quang Binh.

On the same day, the Delegation also conducted site visit to the local area of mine contamination and mine clearance activities of An Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district and Ly Trach commune, Bo Trach district; visited the Handicapped club in Nam Trach commune, Hai Ninh communal clinic in Quang Ninh district, and Dai Trach communal clinic in Bo Trach district to learn about their operation and have basis to consider funding for the projects.
