Connected by Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea, the People’s Committee (PC) of Ba Don Town was approved by the PPC to establish a partnership with Buk-gu district, Gwangju city, South Korea.

After several exchanges between the two parties, the Office of Buk-gu district had sent the advance team to Ba Don town to work on preparatory works for their official delegation’s visit to Quang Binh in the coming time. Within this visit, an agreement for cooperation will be signed.

In the morning of 25 February 2016, the Mission paid a courtesy call to the PPC. On behalf of the PPC, Vice Chairman Tran Tien Dung chaired the courtesy reception.

At the meeting, the PPC’s Vice Chairman provided the team with information about the collaboration between Quang Binh and South Korea and highly appreciated the collaboration and supports that South Korea has provided for Quang Binh in the forms of programs and projects over the past years. He expected that the collaboration between Ba Don town and Buk-gu district will help to strengthen the partnership between Vietnam and South Korea in general, between Quang Binh province and Gwangju city, Bukgu district in particular; hoping to receive more Korean enterprises coming to Quang Binh for investment.

In the same day afternoon, the Mission worked with Ba Don town PC to discuss the preparatory works for the coming visit of Buk-gu district’s official delegation led by the Chief to Quang Binh to work and sign in the MoU with Ba Don town. The two parties has discussed and come to an agreement on the contents, agenda and necessary procedures to carry out the visit.

Also in this afternoon and on 26 February 2016, led by Department of Foreign Affairs and Ba Don town PC, the Mission visited a number of socio-economic establishments of Ba Don town and of Quang Binh province.
