As the 2026 Lunar New Year approaches, on January 28, 2026, Mr. Hoang Nam, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, as well as Head of the Provincial Border Affairs Steering Committee, paid visits and extended Lunar New Year greetings to local authorities and land border guard posts across Quang Tri Province.

The delegation visited and conveyed New Year greetings to several localities and units, including Làng Mô, Làng Ho, Hướng Phùng, and Hướng Lập Border Guard Posts; Lao Bảo International Border Gate; Economic–Defense Unit 337 (Military Region 4); and the Provincial Border Guard’s Drug Prevention; Control Unit and Special Reconnaissance Unit.

During the visits, the Standing Vice Chairman was briefed on the implementation of tasks in 2025, border management and protection efforts, the maintenance of political security and social order, as well as preparations for Lunar New Year support for officers, soldiers, and residents in border areas.

Mr. Hoàng Nam acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and efforts demonstrated by the units and local authorities in fulfilling their assigned duties, particularly in coordinating to firmly safeguard national border sovereignty and security. He requested that the forces continue to strictly maintain combat readiness during the Lunar New Year holiday, proactively monitor developments, and avoid any unexpected situations.

On the occasion of the New Year, the Standing Vice Chairman extended his best wishes and presented Lunar New Year gifts, encouraging officers, soldiers, and local residents to enjoy a warm and united holiday and to achieve further successes in the year ahead.
