The trip aimed to strengthen and further enhance international cooperation, while expressing appreciation and gratitude to partners for their continued support and close cooperation with Quang Tri Province over the years, particularly in 2025. It also provided an opportunity to exchange views, promote the mobilization of development assistance programs and projects, and discuss orientations for cooperation in the 2026 - 2030 period.

Within the framework of the working trip, the delegation held meetings with diplomatic missions, including Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, the U.S Embassy, the Embassy of Ireland, and the U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation; and foreign non-governmental organizations currently implementing programs and projects in Quang Tri Province, such as Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), Mines Advisory Group (MAG), World Vision International (WVI), and Plan International, among others.

During the meetings, the two sides reviewed the status of cooperation in recent years, discussed plans for the implementation of programs and projects in 2026, and mobilized international resources in key areas such as mine action and post-war unexploded ordnance clearance, education, community development, social inclusion, and investment promotion in the coming period.

Through the activities, the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs continued to affirm its role as a bridge in local external relations, contributing to the expansion of international cooperation and the effective mobilization of resources to support the province’s socio-economic development.
