In recent years, Quang Tri has actively mobilized, attracted, managed and effectively utilized ODA and foreign concessional financing, contributing to infrastructure development, improved living conditions and socio-economic growth. These resources have been invested in a wide range of essential sectors, including transport, urban development, climate change adaptation, sustainable agriculture, healthcare, education, tourism and human resource development.

Key development partners, including the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), as well as international financial institutions such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the World Bank, have continued to play an important role in supporting Quang Tri through numerous programs and projects.

During the working sessions, Mr. Hoang Nam discussed with development partners the province’s priorities and proposed continued support for the implementation of programs and projects financed through ODA and foreign concessional loans. He also raised a number of difficulties and challenges encountered during project implementation and called for greater coordination to address these issues.

In response to the province’s proposals, development partners expressed their support and appreciation for Quang Tri’s efforts in implementing ODA-funded projects, while reaffirming their commitment to continued cooperation and partnership with the province in the coming period.

The working sessions reaffirmed the provincial authorities’ strong commitment to proactively mobilizing and effectively utilizing ODA and foreign concessional financing, with a focus on high-impact sectors such as transport infrastructure, urban development, climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, healthcare, environmental protection and human resource development.

Quang Tri also called on international development partners to continue providing technical assistance and support to streamline appraisal, approval and disbursement procedures. These efforts are expected to improve the effectiveness of development resources, generate new momentum for socio-economic development and contribute to better living conditions for the people of Quang Tri in the new period.
