Pursuant to the Plan of the People’s Committee of Quang Tri Province on improving the Provincial Digital Transformation Index (DTI), which clearly identifies the task of strengthening interaction and connectivity between state agencies and citizens and businesses through digital platforms, the Quang Tri Department of Foreign Affairs has proactively developed and officially put into operation its Zalo Official Account (Zalo OA).

The launch of the Department’s Zalo Official Account also aims to concretize Action Plan No. 1346/KH-UBND dated 10 October 2025 of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee implementing Government Resolution No. 153/NQ-CP and Action Program No. 04-CTr/TU of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee implementing Politburo Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on “International Integration in the New Context.” At the same time, it contributes to promoting administrative reform, the application of information technology, and digital transformation in the field of external affairs.

The Zalo Official Account of the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs has been established as an official external information channel, providing timely updates on foreign affairs activities and international cooperation. The channel also introduces the image, potential, investment opportunities, people, and culture of Quang Tri to citizens, businesses, overseas Vietnamese communities, and partners at home and abroad. At the same time, the Zalo OA supports access to information on foreign affairs–related administrative procedures, receives feedback and petitions, and provides information and guidance, thereby contributing to improved service quality and enhanced transparency in state management activities.

Leveraging Zalo - a popular, user-friendly, and easily accessible social media platform - the Department’s Zalo Official Account helps shorten information dissemination time and strengthens two-way interaction between state management agencies and citizens and businesses. This approach meets the requirements for innovating external information and communication methods in the context of deepening international integration.

Since its launch, the Zalo Official Account of the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs has published numerous news articles and updates on the province’s external relations activities, attracting strong interest and engagement from a wide range of users. The channel has initially demonstrated positive effectiveness in external information dissemination, connectivity, and in promoting the image of a dynamic, friendly, and internationally integrated Quang Tri.
